You can adjust the top speed from 10 up to 27 miles per hour. The half twist throttle can go up to 21 miles per hour, and the throttle doesn't depend on the pedal assist level. Whether you're on one or five, the throttle tops out at about 20 miles per hour. However, when you're using the throttle with pedal assist, pedal assist trumps throttle. This means that if you have the throttle held down and you're pedaling, you can easily jump back up to over 20 miles per hour.
